The retiring DGIW, VW Bro Malcolm Privett,attached his Jewel to the collar of the DGIW Designate, VW Bro Tom Peadon of the Mountain Lodge and then presented him with the Patent of Office. VW Bro Peadon then attached a Past DGIW Jewel to Malcom's collar to complete the ceremony.

Prior to the ceremony the Regional Grand Councillor (center), the DGIW (left) and the DGIW Designate (right) provided a photo opportunity for the web site.

After the ceremony the RGC congratulated the new DGIW, VW Bro Tom Peadon.........

and the Past DGIW, VW Bro Malcolm Privett. He also thanked Malcolm for his contribution to Freemasonry in District 105 during his two year term of office. These sentiments were echoed by the brethren present.

The Worshipful Master of the Mountain Lodge, W Bro Paul Gimbert congratulating Tom on his appointment. Tom is the 3rd member of the Mountain Lodge to take the office in the past eight years.

Below are the Grand Lodge officers who attended the ceremony. Of the 10 present 8 have held the active rank of DGIW in Region 10.

Two of those past DGIW's are RW Bro Verner Clements, PSGW, who at 92, is the Worshipful Master of Lodge Pambula Daylight.............

On conclusion of the ceremony and general Lodge business, the Brethren retired to the festive board for some refreshments and the usual country fellowship and harmony for which the Mountain Lodge is well known. A good night was had by all who attended.
