Raymond Geoffrey Spencer was reinstalled as Master of Lodge Bega Remembrance on Saturday 21st September by RW Bro Malcom Privett, PJGW, the outgoing Master, in the presence of RW Bro Allan Brown, PJGW, representing the MW Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of NSW and the ACT.Thirty-one Brethren attended the ceremony which was conducted with due dignity and expertise. Visitors hailed from as far away as the Philippines, Canberra, Cooma, Bombala, Moruya and Pambula.
Our overseas visitor was Bro David Porter, a local lad, who is currently working in the Philippines as a software consultant. His parents who were also present at the Festive Board, live in Tathra. David is a member of Lodge Pinatubo #52 under the Grand Lodge of the Philippines. He also visited Lodge Pambula Daylight with W Bro Spencer on the morning of the installation.David filled in as Junior Deacon during part of the ceremony.

Both the installation ceremony and the festive board had a sense of purpose and friendliness which is not always present at these ceremonies. While the Lodge is small in numbers it is determined to improve this situation in the coming year. The other District Lodges affirmed their support for the Bega Lodge during the various toasts which were made during the evening.
